Statement to voters

I am honoured to be standing for re-election as your County Councillor for Stamford East.

Full statement

I understand that many people feel uncertain about politics, but I’ve always been upfront, worked hard, and done my best for our town. I’ve lived and worked in Stamford for most of my life in the heart of Stamford East division—from being educated here to securing my first job, and now having the privilege of serving as your Mayor. I am deeply passionate about preserving our town’s heritage while looking to the future with ambition and confidence.

Our local businesses are the backbone of Stamford’s success, and I will continue working to secure investment for our High Street, support the Shop Stamford team, and ensure the installation of rising bollards to protect pedestrian areas. I will also push for further funding to enhance Stamford’s gateways and strengthen our town’s infrastructure.

Ensuring Stamford gets its fair share of road funding remains a priority. I’ve already secured significant investment for Ryhall Road and will continue working to fix potholes, improve road safety, and protect our public spaces. Additionally, I support further investment in education, broadband, and essential services to help our community thrive.

Lincolnshire County Council is highly rated by independent inspectors, particularly for its children’s services and safeguarding. Throughout my time as your councillor, I’ve worked tirelessly to protect and enhance local healthcare services and will continue campaigning for improved GP access, including a new practice to better serve our community.

As your councillor, my job is to secure further funding, improve our infrastructure, and ensure Stamford remains a fantastic place to live, work, and visit. I’ll continue working with Stamford Town Council, community groups, charities, residents, and local businesses—putting Stamford first, beyond party politics.

I was first elected as a South Kesteven District Councillor in 2011, aged 20, and have held several senior roles within the council, including Deputy Leader and Leader of South Kesteven District Council. In May 2021, I was privileged to be elected as your Lincolnshire County Council for Stamford East.

In May 2023, I was elected to Stamford Town Council, and in May 2024, I was honoured to be elected by my fellow Councillors as Mayor of Stamford.

I hope I can count on your support so that I can continue working for you and our community. If you'd like to get in touch, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
