Statement to voters

Shaun Stephenson-McGall is a seasoned campaigner, having worked in partnership with Oldfield Park residents for two decades on key local issues such as tackling bad landlords and HMO growth, protecting our vital green spaces, and supporting local businesses on Moorland Road. Councillor Stephenson-McGall passionately wants to build a more balanced and sustainable community locally and globally. For the last four years, as a Trustee of Avon Pension Fund, Shaun has been working to decarbonise its 3 billion assets, to tackle man-made climate change. Shaun moved to Bath to study at Newton Park. After graduation, he initially worked at Bath College. He now works at the University of Bath as the Student Engagement Manager. Shaun volunteers as a trustee of Bath Spa University Studentsโ€™ Union and hopes to volunteer at Moorland Road Library as Conservative Council cuts funding and the community takes over. When Shaun was first elected he lived for many years in Oldfield Park. Shaun, a retired rugby player and Club Secretary at Stothert and Pitt RFC, lives with his husband, Sean.
