Statement to voters
My name is Richard Allsep and I have lived in Chalkwell ward for over 14 years.
I strive to have a good neighbourhood for all residents, in which to live and I am determined to make improvements. We need to work together to keep our area clean, safe and secure.
I want to be accessible and approachable to residents. I regularly walk my two dogs around the area, which I feel is a good way to keep in touch and spot any issues, which might need attention.
I have already dealt with a number of issues in the ward, including potholes, abandoned vehicles and damage to properties, working with Swale Borough Council, Kent County Council and Kent Police.
I am keen to implement a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme, along with a Community Speed Watch Group, with any volunteers interested in getting involved. I think these two schemes will be of great benefit to the ward and bring together a sense of community spirit.
Although I am your Conservative candidate, I want to help all the residents. I live in the ward and so have an interest in improving the area. I hope you will support me to make Chalkwell ward a great place in which to live, work and play.
