Full statement
I am a father of four and grandfather of six.
I am a retired IT professional working for 16 years at the Port of Sheerness, during which time I was able to help and support residents using professional and life skills.
I am currently the borough councillor for Kemsley. I have a high attendance at council meetings and sit on several committees, including planning, scrutiny, licensing and liaison with the local housing association, Optivo.
Over the last 4 years as a Councillor, I feel I have acted as a bridge between the community I serve and the council, being accessible at all times to residents, listening and acting in their interests and helping local organisations, groups and businesses.
I have been very active in the local community as a school governor at several schools across the borough, including Kemsley Primary Academy. I am a member of the Kemsley Inter Agency Group and trustee and treasurer of Kemsley Community Centre
