Statement to voters
South Ayrshire is the ancestral home of Clan Kennedy, and I'm thrilled to be Liberal Democrat candidate for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock constituency.
Full statement
I'm a science graduate, and a former barrister, accountant and actuary with professional leadership experience in both private and public sectors, across the UK and abroad. I've worked in Westminster, at HM Treasury, and for UK financial regulators, undertaking public reviews and taking legislation through Parliament.
I understand the need for fair, sustainable solutions to local people’s problems. I've worked in local government, and helped develop the pensions triple lock which was first championed by the Liberal Democrats.
I believe Ayrshire has been taken for granted by both the SNP and the Conservatives, and desperately needs a fair deal and a stronger voice at Westminster which only a Liberal Democrat MP will deliver.
