Statement to voters
Dear Faversham resident, My name is Jess Valentine and I am your Faversham ReformUK KCC candidate for the upcoming election on the 1st of May 2025.
Full statement
I am standing for the people of this great historic town as it has become evidently clear that our Conservative led Kent county council do not have the best interests nor serve the people of Faversham effectively and consistently waste our tax payers money, driving up huge debt with a daily interest of over £80,000!
Social care is struggling, schools are underfunded, anti social behaviour is rising, parking is inadequate, road infrastructure is an embarrassment, green spaces are being built on and local businesses are feeling the ever growing pressures of increasing taxes and red tape. Faversham deserves so much better!
In one way we are the lucky ones in Faversham as the Labour government has allowed democracy to take place in Kent and we have to remind ourselves that this isn’t the case for the rest of England!
This is yet another attempt by the government to stop the people from having a voice! Labour and the Conservatives realise that Reform UK have all the momentum in British politics and are extremely worried about losing their seats, doing everything possible to try and stop Reform UK from winning in Kent and more importantly Faversham!
We have fantastic candidates willing to stand in every constituency across Kent and have excellent professional teams helping each candidate so that we can support people and improve their quality of life.
My team and I have spent the last year actively campaigning and working with local charities and businesses to help raise money and support the community. It has been a pleasure to personally be engaging with so many local people, children’s SEN charities and small businesses across Faversham.
We have been holding surgeries at various different venues across the town giving people the chance to meet myself and my wonderful team of likeminded community champions from all walks of life and backgrounds.
Unlike the Liberal Democrat run town council I believe in open dialogue and equal opportunity to have your say without fear of being cancelled or labelled just because you have a different opinion or view point.
Faversham is a unique place and for too long the wrong people have been in charge of our money and have taken Faversham for granted!
I have made some policy pledges based on what the people of Faversham have told me is desperately needed.
-I want to reform education by prioritising local children for school placements, increase capacity and improve SEN provisions.
-Reform social care, having more cottage hospital beds helping to alleviate pressure on local hospitals and reform statutory housing requirements to make sure local people are favoured.
-I want to reform local planning so we can help protect local farmland for food security. Improve infrastructure and improve the quality of life for all residents of Faversham.
-Reform transport by increasing trains to London and all across our county. Improve and introduce extended bus services with longer running hours and more routes!
-Reform the highways by fixing potholes properly, introducing planned maintenance and renewal. Improve congestion by co-ordinating roadworks on main roads to help ease the traffic flow chaos.
-I want to see more support for GP services and stronger protections in place for our green spaces.
These are just some examples of what I aim to achieve if elected. Reform UK are the alternative this great town needs and If like me you’re fed up of being taking for granted, Ignored, labelled and having your money wasted, then I urge you to vote for me on the 1st of May! Vote for Jess Valentine, Because I listen and because I care and will never give up on my home town and the great people who make Faversham such a special place. I will always be on the ballot!
Thank you for reading this important message. Thank you for your support.
