James Rhys Davies was the Labour Party candidate in Englefield Green West in the Runnymede local election. Our volunteers have been adding information on James Rhys Davies - here's everything we know so far!

Statement to voters

I have lived in Englefield Green since 2003, working at Royal Holloway as senior lecturer. My grandfather was the MP for Swansea East in 1945 and was one of Nye Bevan’s lieutenants tasked with persuading doctors to sign up to the NHS. The values he had, I share, offering a decent standard of living for all in our community is vital, and that requires good public services and decent affordable housing for local people. I went into teaching to help young people better their lives, and would work to do the same if elected as one of your Borough Councillors.
