Jane Catherine Smith's policies
Statement to voters
"At Animal Welfare Party we see people, animals and environment as an inseparable natural constituency, and with the needs of all three needing to be balanced in our human decision-making.
Full statement
I'm the UK's first-ever elected animal rights councillor and have served five years on Alsager Town Council, where I'm now deputy chair. Thank to my work there, Alsager was the first UK town to request wildlife tunnels in every planning application; the first Cheshire town to declare climate emergency; and the first UK town to implement its own Pollination Action Plan. I have a proven track record of delivering positive change!
I'm a co-ordinator for Wounded Badger Patrol and I've spent many years campaigning on animal and environmental issues. A vote for me on 12th December will be a vote for dynamic action for people, animals and environment."
