Statement to voters
I’m Alison Firth, former Mayor of Kenilworth and a hard-working member of your local Green Team alongside Councillors Tracey Drew, James Kennedy and Lowell Williams.
Full statement
I am proud to be standing for election in Kenilworth Park Hill on Thursday 18th September 2025.
I’ve lived in Kenilworth since I was six, and for the last 15 years in Park Hill. I care deeply about preserving our community’s vibrancy, green spaces, and sense of belonging — while making sure new residents feel welcomed and supported.
Professionally, I’ve been a driving instructor in Kenilworth for 15 years, teaching local young people independence and confidence, and a therapist for 8 years. I love Kenilworth and believe in listening and finding common ground. I’m proud to have the support of Lara Cron, who’s moving with family to Liverpool.
Lowell, James and Lara are working exceptionally hard to get the best results for Park Hill. They’ve fought to overcome legacy issues with the old school sites and I’m pleased that there’s a clear timeline to build homes we can be proud of in Kenilworth.
Delivering your Priorities at District Council
Competence and fiscal responsibility: Greens at Warwick District Council have looked after the finances and are getting things done. Their plan to fix the deficit they inherited is on track, they’ve introduced the first soft plastics recycling in the country and more fly-tipping enforcement crews.
Responsible developments: I’ll work alongside the council planning officers who are dedicated to Leyes Lane, to ensure new housing is high-quality and well-integrated. I’ll hold constructors to account on damage and traffic issues.
Improving our environment: I’ll tackle anti-social behaviour in green spaces and open up access to the Cherry Orchard fields for residents. I’ll campaign to fix pavements, install better lighting (especially around Glasshouse Lane) and deliver better routes for safe and sustainable travel.

I can win here in Park Hill
At the last local elections, the Greens won in Park Hill and I can win this time too. Candidates from other parties don’t have enough support to win here, so it’ll be a tight race between the Greens versus Reform or the Conservatives.
