Statement to voters

"I’m proud to say I live in Northgate and over the past eight years have been its Labour Councillor. I’m a professional engineer, and a Canterbury person through and through.

I am a proud lifetime resident of Canterbury, a place I care greatly about and love living in. For almost eight years, I have been the Labour Councillor representing Northgate Ward on Canterbury City Council and the Leader of the Council’s Labour Group since 2015. I’ve helped support the growth of the Northgate Community Centre and was involved in facilitating the Save the Kingsmead Fields Campaign.

I want to be part of a Labour Council elected in 2019 to reinvigorate Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay and the Villages. That Labour Council has a vision of a secure and vibrant future, full of new hope for the community I share, and every community in our City, our seaside towns and villages. A future where you and your children can afford a home, have a chance of a secure well-paid job and a community around you that you can be proud to be a part of
