Mohammed (Harry) Boota.

Full statement

As a proud father of five, with my children ranging in age from 24 to 40, I am delighted to see them thriving across the UK, whether in academia or various professional fields. Their diverse paths are a testament to the vibrant opportunities our nation offers.

My own journey began in 1967 when, at the tender age of eleven, I arrived in Bradford. My academic pursuits started at Hanson School on Barkerend Road, where I learned the basics before advancing to Tyresil School for a musical education in ‘Doh, Re, Mi’. My educational journey continued at Undercliff Junior School, where I mastered the fundamentals of mathematics, setting the stage for greater achievements to come.

I fondly recall completing my Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) at Fairfax Grammar School, a milestone that marked the end of my formative years in Bradford. In 1973, I embarked on a new adventure, enlisting in the Royal Navy, where I served until my retirement in 1996. Since then, I have embraced the entrepreneurial spirit, founding Boota Enterprises Limited—a company specializing in web hosting, development, and IT support services—and Aromystique Aromatherapy Oils, which supplies premium products to the aromatherapy industry both domestically and internationally.

My political journey has been equally dynamic. In the 2015 General Election, I stood as a parliamentary candidate in Bradford West, challenging Mr. George Galloway. Today, my political compass has come full circle, aligning me with the Workers Party of Britain as the parliamentary candidate for Bradford South in the upcoming General Election on July 4th, 2024.

Victory in these elections hinges on the support of our local community. I invite you to join my campaign team, contribute your energy and passion, and help us shape a brighter future for Bradford South. If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out through our ‘Contact‘ page.

Additionally, I encourage you to subscribe to my newsletter to stay informed about our campaign’s progress and news.

Together, we can forge a path toward success.
