I am retired from my job as a technical writer in the construction sector.

I am a Woodley Town Councillor for South Lake having served since 1979 with a 16-year break. I also was a District (now Borough) Councillor for 12 years. I have a particular interest in cycling and youth facilities and the effects of the climate emergency,.

I recently set up the Woodley Repair Café which aims to repair items rather than bin them; the Café has an amazing team of fixers and volunteers and has proved very successful.

I spend a lot of time walking and cycling around the local area. I know the area well and often spot issues such as potholes and fly tipping and report them so they get fixed.

My involvement in the community includes being a School Governor in South Lake, regular litter picker with WASP (Woodley Adopt-a-Street) and I am a volunteer gardener with the Wokingham Volunteer Centre.

If elected, I would make sure Woodley’s voice is heard on the borough council, and ensure it gets the support it needs.
