Statement to voters

Working Hard for your community.

Full statement

The cost of living crisis, caused by Conservative mismanagement is affecting all our lives with rising fuel bills, food costing so much more, travel and petrol also so expensive. Your Eastbourne team of liberal democrat councillors have been doing all they can to help those most at need to deal with these archaic conditions. • Direct financial support for those most at need. • Food Banks being supported across the town. • Advice to help with fuel bills and alternative power.

In addition your local councillors, Swansborough, Murray and Babarinde, supported by our focus editor Teri Sayers have also been trying to deal with some of the problems that directly affect peoples lives in the wards. • Flooding in Willingdon Trees • Supporting local charity and voluntary groups • Improving the green spaces in Hampden Park • Addressing the road safety problems in the area • Lobbying Tory run county council to improve the roads and pavements. On May the 4th you all get a chance to vote for your councillors for Hampden Park. A positive vote to keep your Liberal Democrat representatives in place will ensure that you continue to get the voice that you deserve as Hampden Park Residents. This is also your chance to tell parliament, enough is enough, we will not tolerate this continued mismanagement of central government, vote Liberal democrat to send this message.
