Statement to voters
Margaret retired to Quantocks ward twelve years ago after spending 58 years living in East London. She spent her working life in education, and, on arriving in Somerset, became chair of the governors for a village primary school.
A passionate people-person, Margaret loved working with the general public, and would relish the chance to use her skills and experiences to support Quantock residents.
She is particularly interested in ensuring the new tidal barrier receives proper scrutiny, and campaigning against fly tipping and cuts to local bus services, as well as loneliness and social isolation.
Margaret has the time and the enthusiasm to wholeheartedly commit herself to the role of District Councillor, and her dedicated, no-nonsense approach would make her an excellent candidate to represent your views on Sedgemoor District Council.
