Statement to voters

John has lived in Norwich for over 40 years and is a retired professor of politics at UEA, where he taught for 37 years. He has a great deal of experience in administration, chairing committees and dealing with policy issues. He knows University ward well. He is interested in a range of policy issues, especially promoting better public transport and cycling. He is passionately concerned about the environmental crisis that faces us, in particular climate change and loss of habitat for wildlife.

In his spare time, John enjoys walking and cycling. He has been active in local politics for many years and enjoys meeting local residents. He would enjoy representing residents effectively on the city council.
