Statement to voters

Iā€™m 28 years old and have lived in Halton for all my life. I grew up in Afton, and have returned to live in Hough Green 5 years ago (my family moved to Farnworth in Widnes)

Iā€™m passionate about bringing our community back together. I truly believe the recent increases in ASB are directly linked to cuts to social care resources. One of my main goals if I was to be elected would be to reintroduce community schemes that bring people together and benefit the entire neighbourhood. Bringing back the walking bus schemes for the local primary schools is an idea I am keen to push.

I believe Hough Green is beautiful and Iā€™d like it to stay that way or improve! As a green councillor I would be a passionate voice to protect our green spaces and make them more accessible for local people. Id love to see some public recycling bins being introduced around our parks and green areas, so we have the tools to keep our spaces clean ourselves. I would also be calling for halton council to declare a climate emergency and commit to targets aiming to make halton carbon neutral.
