Statement to voters

The tailor-made one size fits all policies applicable to the whole of England do not, and will not work here.

Full statement

Only an Independent candidate can fearlessly speak up and fight for the Constituency and I am the only candidate that matches the criteria.

When speaking to voters, I hear that they feel trapped in a two-party system with limited choices. The public has been exhausted by the constant drama and poor governance of the Tories over the past 14 years. The handling of COVID-19 only further demonstrated their self-serving motives.

I am committed to representing the needs and concerns of the constituency. I will work tirelessly to ensure that your voices are heard and represented in decision-making processes.

I aim to bring positive change, accountability, and transparency to the position. I believe in working collaboratively with community members and stakeholders to address pressing issues unique to Blackpool North and Fleetwood.

I have lived and worked in Blackpool for more than 22 years. My husband has lived and run a small business all his life since the age of 17 years! My children were born here, attended school, and worked here locally before going into further education.

I started work in Blackpool North as a care worker, worked in various residential and nursing homes here, and attended Blackpool College and University. I have worked with Age Concern (now Age UK) in Blackpool, local authority social services, Youth Offending Team, and voluntary organisations. I have firsthand knowledge and experience of the revolving door concerns of people here and have successfully helped resolve them. Blackpool Gazette noted my award-winning performance on the British Heart Foundation public health Project run by the Blackpool Victoria Hospital in 2012.

Blackpool North and Fleetwood Constituency deserve a committed and compassionate MP who understands the people’s needs and values. It deserves an MP who listens to the people’s problems and helps find solutions.
