Having worked as a pot wash and bar tender, a butcher and supermarket shelf stacker, and even in a bouncy castle factory, Frank decided that society was not providing for those working hardest. In 2019, Frank decided that he would study Politics and International Relations at university to try and understand why. In 2023, Frank was elected to represent his home, Wingerworth, on North East Derbyshire District Council. He has served his community as the first ever Vice Chair of the Environmental Scrutiny Committee, and been a bold voice for our area. Frank's profile received a significant boost when he started his people powered and entirely crowdfunded campaign for the new East Midlands Mayoral role. Frank has been a strong independent voice for our communities and is not afraid to hold the other parties to account. This May, Frank is looking to build on a strong 2nd place finish he achieved in the Derbyshire County Council elections, 2021. Again, Frank represented his home in that election, standing for Wingerworth and Shirland. With 5 years of hard work behind him and an ever growing profile, Frank is a favourite to replace the incumbent here. Local polling puts Frank neck and neck with the Conservatives (37% v 39%) in Wingerworth and Shirland. Whatever happens, every vote will count.
