I’ve lived and worked in Berkshire and Surrey since the 1980s, and I moved to Camberley in 2010.

My family’s connections to Camberley go back to the early 1900s. I began my career in Social Services, supporting communities facing multiple deprivation and mental health challenges, before moving into the commercial sector. Over the years I’ve negotiated major contracts with and for government organisations worldwide and helped organisations deliver on Corporate Social Responsibility. Now that I’m retired, I focus full time on doing everything I can to make life better locally. That’s why I’ve taken on the work involved in being:
• County Councillor for Camberley East
• Community representative to the NHS
• Chair of three charities: Old Dean Community Group CIO; Surrey Tree Warden Network; and Surrey Heath Tree Wardens
When the pandemic hit, I set up and ran the Free Food Stall to support residents who were struggling. That work continues today because Old Dean remains an area of multiple deprivation, with many people facing overlapping challenges.
I’m also known for persistent lobbying for road improvements and for making sure potholes in Camberley East are dealt with promptly earning me the nickname “The Pothole Man”.
Outside my council and community work, I campaign for stronger protection for nature and continue developing my wildlife photography. My priorities are:
• Supporting the most vulnerable
• Improving access to joined-up health and care
• Securing investment in a new hospital
• Stopping harmful developments that threaten our environment, while supporting appropriate growth
• Making roads safer and keeping them in good condition to support our local economy
• Backing local businesses
