Statement to voters

I am pleased to announce that I will be standing for election for Lincolnshire County Council in the Louth North ward.

Full statement

Here's a little bit about me:

I moved to Louth 24 years ago with my partner and son and fell in love with the town. I have run the local strategy games club for many years, engaging young and young at heart people in this creative activity.

As a councillor I have dealt with many issues on behalf of residents. My work has involved campaigning for improved road surfaces and pushing for safer crossings on the Grimsby Road. Through my role in planning, I have highlighted residents’ concerns about large housing applications that stretch Louth’s infrastructure.

I have supported the town council to declare a climate emergency, and I am proud to have been part of the decision to get the district council to target net zero carbon by 2040, ensuring the council takes its climate goals seriously. I have also scrutinised rough sleeping in East Lindsey.

Projects I have funded for the community have included scrubs for the NHS, improvements to Cannon Street uniform bank, works to Spout Yard park, and holiday hunger programmes. I have also kept residents informed with regular newsletters.

Investing in public services matters to me. Getting the basics of infrastructure right, whether good roads, bus services, help for young people and those facing difficulties, schools or jobs, help people to thrive and achieve great things together.

Vote Labour on May 6th for a fairer Lincolnshire.
