Statement to voters

Tony Mackinnon standing for Cleeve St Michaels has wide experience of local government, 23 years on Bishop's Cleeve Parish Council and 12 years at Tewkesbury Borough. He is concerned at the Borough's failure to do enough to combat climate change, which the current ruling party don't seem to believe is happening. He is also concerned at the Borough's high risk measures to boost income by borrowing huge sums to invest in commercial property whose value can be very volatile. He has helped transform the finances of the Parish Council which is funding major infrastructure projects yet has a lower council tax rate than 4 years ago.

This statement was added by Tony Mackinnon, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
