Statement to voters
Nigel Adcock Standing in Cleeve Hill
I joined the Liberal Democrat’s on 24th June 2016 because I felt that Brexit was not the right direction for the country and the Exit from Brexit slogan resonated with me. I feel that national actions will manifest themselves locally.
Having spent 17 years teaching and since retiring from the profession having involved myself with a care charity and having been voluntary tree warden for Woodmancote since 1999. I understand the impact on cuts and austerity on much needed public services.
Never being one to be quiet I decided to do something.
What am I standing for?
I want to see development that is imaginative, contemporary and above all sustainable.
I want to see open spaces develop so that the whole community can relax and have fun
without impacting on the ability of others to enjoy the area.
I want to see green spaces enjoyed and our environment protected.
I want to see a coordinated approach to transport so that everyone from young to old have access to walking, cycling and other affordable and above all sustainable options.
