Statement to voters

My name is Cheryl Agg and I am standing in Cleeve Hill. I have been a resident of Woodmancote for almost thirty years and I have served for twenty years as a local Parish Councillor.

Since 2003 I have worked in Education as a Schools Operations Manager handling a variety of roles and my son attended both Woodmancote and Cleeve Schools. Like so many other mums I have seen first-hand the challenges that schools face; budgets cut due to insufficient Government funding and the relentless demand for school places as a result of new housing developments.
This May I will be standing in the local Parish and Borough elections. Whilst Woodmancote Parish Council is nonpolitical, I will be standing as a pro Europe Liberal Democrat, for Cleeve Hill in the Tewkesbury Borough Council election on May 2nd and I hope you will support me in both.
As your prospective local Liberal Democrat Councillor I want to see:
�� Local children attending their local schools.
�� More school places and the need for less school appeals.
�� Schools built within easy walking distance of new housing developments.
�� Strategies to improve traffic congestion locally and around the school gates.
�� Safe cycle routes both locally and to Cheltenham.
�� More public engagement in the planning process.
�� Housing that meets the needs of the local community.
�� Protection of public open spaces and our AONB so that these space can be enjoyed for generations to come.
