Kanndiss Riley's policies
Statement to voters
Kanndiss has lived in Thanet with her family for over 6 years.
She is actively working with community groups to improve green employment and achieve green environment status for the Kent coast, to invest in communities health as well as wellbeing.
Kanndiss is a known Philanthropist and Human Rights Activist who cares deeply about intersectional equality that benefits everyone receiving access to health, employment and education. Her activism over the past 10 years has been solely focused on education to improve mental health, physical wellbeing and employment opportunities of people between 12-30 years old.
Her volunteering work has been across several youth and female charities endeavouring to work on environment and employment she has a wealth of contacts and experience in actively changing peoples lives through developing policies as well as groundwork schemes.
Women's Equality Party leader of East Kent Branch she goes out of her way to meeting with members and locals across the county of Kent from Ashford to Margate, to learn more about environmental activities to educate people on lifestyle changes that will empower people to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.
In the future, when Kanndiss is in an elected position, she will support her constituents achieve higher levels of employment, health care support and live in a greener environment. The Women's Equality party policy objectives are providing solutions to economic inequality and providing opportunities to improve counties across the country.
Kanndiss is passionate about making policy change around EVAWG, with the first FGM case in Thanet when she stood for Thanet District Council in 2019 this has increased her passion for enacting change in the county she resides in. This year Kent has the lowest conviction rate by the police for violence towards women, she will also fight for a policy change in police culture to support residents in Kent dealing with violent abuse cases and look for investment in local facilities supporting refugees services.
