Jonathan Williams's policies
Statement to voters
Jonathan Williams has lived all his life in Bishop’s Waltham.
Full statement
For nine years he worked in the NHS, on the front-line in A&E at Winchester hospital, and for five years volunteering as a Community First Responder.
Since retraining at Solent University as a software developer, he has worked creating digital interactive training for the Royal Navy, and now works as a Senior Developer creating digital training for overseas Doctors, Paramedics, and the NHS.
Jonathan has been a proven local campaigner over the years, working with Councillors to try to prevent further flooding in our area, successfully campaigning to prevent the gas power plant development and continued campaigning against the Shedfield quarry, and reporting multiple defects such as pot holes, dangerous and overgrown council owned foliage, and broken parking meters.
He wants to see safer speed limits on our approach roads to Bishop's Waltham, supports the national 20's plenty campaign for residential streets, a renewed priority on our local infrastructure to accommodate the recent new developments on the south of Bishop's Waltham as well as protect the green gaps we have in Durley from expansions of Horton Health and Boorley Green.
Jonathan is a proven local campaigner, and personally wants to put something back into the community by representing local residents on Winchester City Council. If elected, he can achieve so much more and provide that crucial link between residents and their City Council.
