Statement to voters
Ashford Independents believe that there is no place for National Party Politics in Local Government. Free from any National Party Whip, Ashford Independents are the opposition group giving residents a stronger voice in Ashford Borough Council with members’ first responsibility being to the residents of their Ward.
I am standing for local people and not for national politics. I’m a local resident and if elected, I am fully committed to giving my time and effort to the role of Borough Councillor. I will listen to your views and concerns, represent your interests and keep you informed. I would fight to protect the countryside, improve the quality of life for people living in rural area and, where new developments are agreed, I will endeavour to ensure that they are well designed and sustainable, and that local businesses and local people benefit from investment and growth.
