Smita is the Liberal Democrat local champion to be County Councillor for the Chelmer area (covering Chelmer Village, Boreham, Great Leighs, Beaulieu and most of Channels) is Smita Rajesh.

Smita has served as a city councillor for over 6 years and is currently the Deputy Mayor at Chelmsford City Council.
Smita is passionate about serving the community to the best of her abilities. Her top priorities are the welfare of young people, road safety including speed restrictions on school roads and dealing with the pothole crisis, and improving access to healthcare for all.
Only the Lib Dems can beat the Conservatives and Reform in Chelmsford.
