Statement to voters
I am standing as a non-political candidate representing the town’s people of Wadebridge. I have supported you through Mental Health, looked after your Learning Disability family members, been there for your children and grandchildren in Nursery and Schools, and have listened to your stories over the Shop counter. Your concerns for family, employment and later life are also mine.
Communities have always been at the heart of everything Cornish from farming to small hamlets, villages and towns. My family and I have always supported our local communities through providing free activities for families, volunteering to help at events and attending community-based clubs.
Social isolation, health problems and transport are high priorities on my agenda as well as making sure that women have a voice in our modern world. I want to stand as a woman who represents a modern world where women are expected to work like men with little or no regard to our children, health or unequal pay and pension. Empowering women for a better future, environment and well-being of Cornwall, is my aim.
