I trained as a pharmacist and now work as a medical writer, but also serve on the Parish Council in Bugbrooke. Since becoming a Councillor in 2021, I’ve helped to establish the Environmental Working Group, which focuses on the practicalities and challenges of a community seeking to live sustainably, by organising litter picks, re-use days and other initiatives. As a founding member of Climate Action West Northamptonshire, I write for the online forum and host climate cafes to support people who feel frustrated and worried about the climate crisis. I strongly believe that with the right government policy and leadership, we can have a just and positive transition to a safer, sustainable society with a greater quality of life for all. This is my motivation for standing for parliamentary election for the second time in Daventry, where I hope to build on the increased vote share I won in 2019, up by 2.4% from 2017. Having listened to the frustrations of many local residents through my voluntary work over the past few years, I’m delighted is to be able to give people of the Daventry constituency the opportunity to vote Green.
