Statement to voters

Roben has recently moved to the area after getting engaged and is now building his life here, proud to call Tandridge home.

Full statement

He has worked as an administrative assistant in Nutfield and has been involved in local campaigns, giving him a clear understanding of the issues that matter to residents across Godstone, Bletchingley, Nutfield and the surrounding villages. He is committed to protecting what makes our villages special and to supporting activities that strengthen our local communities.

Roben’s professional background has focused on practical, evidence-based work that supports people in their day-to-day lives. He is particularly concerned about the growing number of potholes on our roads, the pressures facing children and families in the SEND system, and the impact of new housing when it is not matched by the roads, services and infrastructure our area needs. He believes decisions should be made with residents, not imposed on them, and wants to see a fairer, more open approach to local government. If elected, he will work to push back against inappropriate development, protect village character, and secure proper investment in local services, while being a visible and approachable councillor who listens and acts on residents’ concerns.
