Rosie (she/her) has lived in Oxford for almost 10 years and was first elected as a Councillor in 2022.
Full statement
She first moved to the city to work for Oxfam where she worked on campaigns to end British arms sales to Saudia Arabia being used in Yemen, against corporate tax evasion, and for refugee family reunion. She now works for a national charity, supporting radical campaigns for climate and migrant justice.
Rosie has a background in the trade union movement and has supported university staff in campaigns for fairer pensions, worked alongside public sector unions in the anti-austerity movement and supported gig economy workers to fight for fair pay and conditions. She also recently completed a PhD researching the impacts of campaigns to improve pay and conditions in the global electronics industry.
