Statement to voters
I’m honoured to be your Labour candidate for St Loyes ward in the May 2023 Elections, working to provide a much-needed Labour voice for such an integral part of our great City.
Full statement
I have always been an active member of Exeter’s community, having lived, worked and grown up in the City and its surrounding areas. Now, having made further roots in the City as a student, I am excited to give back to the City that has provided me so much throughout life.
As an active community-facing representative, I will ensure that you have a voice right to the very top of the Council’s Labour leadership. The Conservatives have consistently failed to provide a voice for the area, and I will make it my political mission to make sure St Loyes is not left out of the conversation.
I have a record of community delivery through my work. As a sitting East Devon District Councillor in a Conservative-dominated area, I have worked hard to represent all the residents of our neighbouring District through Council decisions and active casework resolution.
I understand the importance of providing strong local services in the face of massive cuts, and I will ensure our services are protected and invested in across all of St Loyes.
I am deeply driven by community work, founding and running a not-for-profit food redistribution organisation and working as a charity trustee for a Theatre Company. Through this community-driven action, I have worked closely with those in need across our region and understand the struggles that our Council tenants and social renters face.
I will champion all residents of St Loyes no matter your income, providing the support that residents need through the ongoing Conservative created Cost of Living Crisis.
