Adam Tinsley is the local candidate for Maltby East for the upcoming local elections on May the 6th.

Adam has always lived in Maltby and has been interested in local issues. Adam has a vast amount of experience that he will be bring to the role. From previously working in construction and having a vast amount of knowledge on private and social rental property standards. Being a trade union Health and safety representative where is is employed by a local University where working condition vary from classroom to industrial settings. Adam has been a community First responder for the Yorkshire Ambulance service for over 5 years. Where he regularly volunteers his time responding to health emergencys within Maltby and the surrounding villages (hours go in to the thousands) . Adam has working to get more defibrillators into Maltby and the surrounding area. In 2017 he was awarded a grant to have five put in (one in Maltby) and four in the surrounding villages. He did raise the issue of the lack of defibrillators in Maltby and this has seen Maltby town council add more defibrillators into the community.

During the coronavirus period Adam volunteered as well for the NHS responders and help out at Maltby town council delivering food hampers. Adam provided over 400 hours over the first lock down period with the Maltby community responders) Over the last few years Adam and his family (especially during covid lockdowns) have been out and around Maltby litter picking to help keep the streets cleaner.

In November 2020 Adam was co-opted into Maltby town council where he has been an active councillor under taking surgeries and ward walkarounds, dealing with residents concerns and bringing these to council meetings.

Adam has raised issues around speed watch to SYP where they are currently looking to amend to scheme so that more speed watches can be undertaken in Maltby.

Adam is committed to dealing with local issues, whilst working with local residents and local community groups to deal with the pressing issues around Maltby. Crime & Anti Social Behaviour Litter and fly tipping protecting our green spaces Reviewing and consulting Kids and teenagers to see what groups and activities they would like to see in Maltby.
