Chris Mawby's policies
Statement to voters
Chris Mawby is the Rugby Labour candidate for Paddox Ward in May's local council elections.
He is standing because he's want to help with local issues in Paddox.
It has become apparent that due to the pandemic there have been problems with overflowing bins and littering in various area's of the ward particularly on the Paddox Parade and in the GEC Rec.
Graffiti is also an issue, particularly on Hillmorton Road. Rugby as a whole needs a covid 19 recovery plan that takes into account i.e those non-essential businesses like the Jolly Abbott that have had to throw away stock due to not being able to open.
Paddox also has issues with anti-social behaviour and potholes that need dealing with. With the town getting bigger and traffic increasing congestion and parking is also an issue.
He has been a member of The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers for nearly six years and works at Rugby train station. He wants to be a strong voice for Paddox in council and also be a real alternative to both the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives in the ward
