Full statement
As May 4th 2023 showed - even if agonisingly it wasn’t quite enough, garnering the support of 1,550 residents puts me and the party in a good position to go one better and become a champion for a truly lovely and important part of the world.
Penn is full of decent people, huge talent and fantastic businesses and running in 2023 made me even more humbled and determined to serve in the best way possible, as a People First Councillor.
As someone who was first in my family to attend University and having worked in the Charity, Cultural, Inventory and Major Events sectors by 26 years of age and also having represented the city's young people: despite being an BAME Autistic lad, raised by a single Mother in childhood and always struggling for income, makes me incredibly proud of all I've achieved.
I want that for YOU and your family not least during this Cost of Living Crisis - which remember YOU'RE NOT ALONE within: through giving back to this city which has given me so much, since making Wolverhampton my home in August 2009.
I want that kind opportunity for ALL residents in Penn and I will put that at the heart of all I do in keeping streets clean, protecting green spaces, championing Social Care, ensure our Transport becomes clean and green and gain more investment for its people, including to continue development in our schools.
Vote Kashmire Hawker and Labour and Co-operative on May 2nd, so a new and vibrant champion can serve you and will be Working Hard to Build a Better Penn!
Kashmire
