Many of you will know me as ‘The Dog Lady’ I run the animal ambulance and rescue organisation Noah’s Ark. I have served on various committees and resident’s groups, been chair of a national charity and currently sit on the customer panel of Greensquare Group.

I have been a Labour voter all my adult life and recently realised I needed to get involved if I wanted to make a difference. My experience may be animal welfare, but I am also understanding of community issues. I can make a difference to help my local community, by standing up for those who need help. I hate to see people overlooked or pushed aside, you could say I always champion the underdog. I am concerned by the rising number of homeless people, of people struggling with mental health issues, the gap between those who have a lot, and those struggling to get by. I am also passionate about protecting our older generation who often suffer in silence rather than asking for help.
