Julia works as a self-employed Psychologist, which gives her the flexibility to take time off when the weather is good to hop on a bike and enjoy the hills around Holmfirth and Scammonden.

She moved to Marsden almost seven years ago from Morecambe, with partner Ben, and has since added to the family, with a young kelpie puppy called Poppy.

She says: “I joined the Green Party several years ago. I felt needed to support a political party with the best policies to tackle the climate emergency. Since then, I have campaigned to bring an end to fossil fuels, and a volunteer for the Colne Valley Tree Society, I have also lobbied our local MP to support the Climate and Ecology Bill - sadly something he is still not willing to do.
