Statement to voters
Gavin is a freelance artist and craftsman who studied at the University of Gloucestershire.
Full statement
Gavin believes that the local community is as important as the environment, so uses local suppliers for his eco-friendly furniture business.
If elected he will press for further progress on energy-saving (and money-saving) improvements to council houses and continued greening up of the council’s vehicle fleet. He will also support community-led environmental initiatives, through the Stroud District Climate Action Network.
Gavin fully supports the District Council’s collaborative approach as part of the Green/Labour/Lib Dem rainbow alliance, and the Green Party’s ‘no-party whip’ approach, which allows councillors to use their own initiative in supporting their residents.
