David John Munro's policies
Statement to voters
If elected on 7 May 2026 as an Independent, I’ll be guided by the following principles:
- Keep the council out of party politics.
Full statement
- Protect our rural way of life.
- Help residents with their problems
My immediate priorities, based on what residents have told me most concerns them, are:
- Protecting local interests during the momentous changes to local government. In particular, fighting to minimise Woking Council’s debts being unloaded on to local residents.
- Campaigning to save our wonderful countryside and villages from reckless over-development.
- Curbing anti-social behaviour - fly-tipping, excess noise, litter, petty crime.
- Getting on top of pothole repairs!
- Opposing the expansion of Farnborough Airport - our skies are too noisy as it is.
- Opposing gimmicky projects that sound good but waste money without providing real help to people.
