Statement to voters
I'm an activist and campaigner, and I've lived in Cheltenham since 2017.
Full statement
I got galvanized into volunteering and campaigning with the Green Party during the 2019 general election. I've been an active Green ever since.
As a former teacher and a lifelong advocate for wildlife, I've learned that the best way to achieve change is through community action. In 2020, I worked with the Cheltenham Trust to help get supplies to vulnerable people; in subsequent years I went door-to-door in a different way, finding out what the people of St. Paul's wanted prioritise in our run for borough council.
This year I'm running in Swindon Village to make sure the community has a voice. I'm actively pushing back on decisions about key areas such as Swindon Road recycling hub or the new development in the Folley. I'm hoping to get myself and Mark elected to help Tabi and Wendy form an effective opposition, keeping the council accountable and community-focused.
