I’m a magazine editor and mum of two who’s lived in Wycombe for over a decade now and found it to be a warm, vibrant and inclusive community.

I love the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, and enjoy nothing more than hiking through the Chiltern hills with my two dogs, Lola and Spotty.

I’ve got a Masters in Creative Writing and am writing a book about the Hellfire Caves in West Wycombe, but I’m also a very pragmatic and practical person – in my day job, I edit a business magazine, interview CEOs and run industry events.

I’m active within the local community, including volunteering with Wycombe Homeless by helping run their night shelter. I’m passionate about the town, but also strongly aware that it’s treated as a poor relation to Aylesbury by the currently Conservative-run council. As a result, there’s a lack of joined-up thinking when it comes to issues such as town planning, traffic management and anti-social behaviour. Locals are being pushed out of the area by a lack of affordable housing, which is exacerbated by London workers moving into the area because of good commuting links.

It’s also an ongoing struggle for residents to get appropriate access to GP appointments, let alone help with issues around mental health, SEN or appropriate social care for older people or those with disabilities. This is something I feel very strongly about and should I be elected, would use my influence within the council to improve.

I’m hard-working, committed and reliable, and would work hard to deliver for all my constituents – and make Wycombe a better place.
