Uroy has lived in Milton Keynes for almost 40 years and has served as a Councillor for 11 years, currently representing Middleton and Oakgrove.

Alongside his public service, he is the Cross-Campus Cluster Lead at UEL and Chair of City College London.

Locally, Uroy is a strong advocate for improving outcomes for vulnerable children. He is campaigning for more high-quality children’s homes for those in care, alongside better mental health support services. He believes that local people should be better supported to provide these services, rather than relying heavily on large external corporations.

Uroy works closely with community groups and residents and has tackled a wide range of local issues and addressing everyday concerns such as potholes, street lighting, graffiti, and fly-tipping.

Beyond his council work, Uroy is actively involved in his local church and is passionate about mentoring and supporting young people. As Shadow Cabinet Member for Equalities, Leisure and Culture, he has championed inclusive community initiatives and supported campaigns such as White Ribbon, promoting the protection and safety of women.
