I worked in clinical research for nearly 20 years both in industry and the NHS including 12 years supporting cancer research at The Christie where I was the Associate Director of Research.

Since retiring I have worked voluntarily for a number of organisations including one that supports the training of NHS Research Managers.
I have lived in Widnes for over 30 years, I am married with two adult sons who both attended local schools (Wade Deacon and Bankfield). I am a keen gardener and have supported various local organisations with their gardening projects. I have an interest in the environment and have been working to limit the use of disposable plastics at home.
