Kevin is a retired doctor who lives in Bellingham and enjoys walking, swimming, cycling and sailing in the beautiful tranquillity of the Northumberland countryside.

His passion for social justice has caused Kevin to campaign for an end to world hunger, sell fairtrade products as a Traidcraft Rep and work, for a number of years, as a doctor in an African hospital. Later, he worked across the North East in Industrial and Occupational Medicine for 16 years giving him an understanding of people's jobs, the impact of disease or disabilities and the importance of good employment practices. A recent spell as a full-time carer for his mum has given him even greater appreciation of the issues of community health and social care.
Kevin's deep concern for the environment has seen him campaign on climate issues, join the Woodland Trust, plant trees and volunteer with Transition Tynedale, a community interest company supporting a variety of environmental projects.
"I joined the Liberal Democrats to campaign for our local Parliamentary candidate and the party with the most progressive and fiscally credible plans," said Kevin. "The failure of the current Northumberland administration to respond to local concerns motivated me to stand to represent Bellingham as a Liberal Democrat County Councillor. My aim would be to improve representation of the public's views by being more accessible to the people of the ward and by regularly attending the various parish councils ."
