Statement to voters

Hi! I'm Robbie Bentley and this is the second time I have stood for election as an independent candidate in the Ashley Ward.

Full statement

The last time was in 2021. I have been driven to stand again owing to a number of factors including but not limited to the deepening inequality we face in society. I come from a working class background and am disabled but am also studying with the Open University on a Social Science degree which has already lifted my understanding of the problems we face. I believe that here in Ashley we have a lot of very good people and since moving to here from an extended period where I was homeless have been working with many people to help make our a better place in which to live, work and visit. I believe in the power strong communities bring to their people and the community here is as strong as any I have ever felt.

This statement was added by Robbie Bentley, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
