I work as a software engineer in agricultural research. I’ve been in Chippenham nearly twenty years and enjoy living here with my wife and thirteen-year-old daughter. As an independent candidate I am not affiliated to any political party and so I am free to properly represent the residents of Chippenham.

For some years I've volunteered and campaigned locally and nationally to improve health and well-being, in particular for sustainable transport. I’ve also offered my help locally during the COVID-19 pandemic and volunteered as a steward to help with the efficient delivery of vaccines.

I believe our countryside becomes more valuable the less we have of it. It is essential to us not only for our well-being but for our food security, air and water quality as well as flood and climate change prevention. Where new homes are needed these should be in proportion to the local jobs available. In my view existing brownfield sites should always be preferred. I'd like to help Chippenham become more sustainable and resilient, putting the health and well-being of residents first.
