Statement to voters

Fellow residents it would be my pleasure to represent Firth Park Ward as your ONLY local Independent Councillor.

    Full statement

I am standing as Independent, so I can voice your concerns on safety, litter issues, fly tipping, off road vehicles in public spaces, speeding, social housing, job security, benefits and health care. Doing all this without having to toe a party line.
I can't do this without your input and support on Thursday 16th September 2021.

So, do you want to rewrite Firth Park Ward's story? Then read on.

    My Priorities:
    * Living in the ward I want to make the role of councillor more visible in the area and be here for you all to discuss issues positive & negative
    * To tackle litter & fly tipping by getting businesses, council services and residents working together. All the other parties think litter issues should be left on resident's doorsteps. I don't agree.
    * Bring more business to the area and build up the local economy
    * Petition government to invest and back the extension of the tram into the area now HS2 isn't coming to the city.
    * Ensure the resident is at the heart of council services
    * Work with the police to tackle anti-social behaviour, off road bikes and enforce speeding restrictions
    * Work with local friend's groups who do an amazing job already
    * Push for more social housing to be built and to get families housed who are on never ending waiting lists
    * I will support Greener policies that benefit Sheffield and Firth Park Ward
    * Tackling child obesity which under Labour has risen higher than the national average
    * Work with Local Committee's to get things done that local people want doing.

If you would be interested in joining me to rewrite Firth Park Ward's story then you can find out more on my website: www.firthparkindependent.com

    About me
I have worked in government for over 20 years and run a small business for 10 years. I have the knowledge and experience of how government works and it's link with county council. Having set up and run a business during a recession too, I have learned so much about being self employed. In my spare time I mentor students at Longley College, am a Foundation Governor, volunteer at church and have run Code Clubs.

Please go out and Vote on the 16th September and make a change to the way our area is run...Vote Independent!!!!
