I have been a resident of Welwyn Hatfield for 10 years and am very pleased to be standing for the Heritage Party in this year’s elections.

I love my community, but I believe we are in desperate need of change from the old political parties that put vested interests before local people and have let us down many times.

The Heritage Party stands for simple, common-sense values and principles that will restore purpose and prosperity to our nation. We have a great heritage that has been given to us by our forefathers for us to enjoy and pass on to future generations.

Our core principles are free speech and liberty, national sovereignty, low immigration, self-sufficiency in skills and energy, traditional family values and financial responsibility in government. We believe in the preservation of our Green Belt and our places of historic interest.

Local governments must be efficient and accountable. We reject the plan to replace district and county councils with unitary authorities and Sadiq Khan-style county mayors.

We reject the woke ideologies of critical race theory, 100 genders and climate alarmism. Instead, we hold that Britain is a good country, there are two sexes – male and female – determined by anatomy and chromosomes, and we should not replace coal and gas power stations with wind turbines and solar panels that are causing household energy bills to go through the roof and are killing off nature and potential land for agricultural use.

We will repeal climate emergency declarations and scrap net zero locally.
