Statement to voters
Local resident and business owner Ronnie Stalker has been selected as the Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate for the council by-election on Thursday 12th August.
Ronnie was born and raised in Dalry, where he lives with his family and runs his family business, R Stalker and Sons butchers. Ronnie is a past President of Garnock Rugby Club, and has played and volunteered as a junior coach there in his spare time.
Ronnie said, “It’s a privilege to be standing as the Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate in the by-election in the area where I live, work and have grown up. I will be a strong local voice for everyone in this ward, along with Councillor Todd Ferguson.
“Whether it’s in West Kilbride, Seamill, Dalry and Barrmill or any of the other fantastic communities in this ward, I understand the issues in our area because I experience them every day. I’m campaigning to ensure more local activities for our young people, to get our roads fixed, to improve our local bus services and many other issues. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be out speaking to people about the issues that matter to you most so please do get in touch with anything you would like to raise – I’d be delighted to hear from you.”
