Statement to voters

It is a time of huge change, and we desperately need it.

Full statement

The Conservatives have crashed the economy and made life harder for us all. We need a real, positive change in Westminster, but we know that voting Labour doesn’t mean change for us in Torfaen. Labour are taking us for granted.

I am a Torfaen man through and through. I’m proud to have been born and raised and live here.

My view of the world has been shaped by this community - and we deserve better from the Westminster parties.

The cost of living crisis has been disastrous, and so many people are having to use food banks - even nurses. This is disgraceful. But Labour are committed to the same spending cuts as the Tories. Keir Starmer even banned Labour MPs from attending picket lines to support striking nurses.

I’m building a coalition of people in all parts of Torfaen who want a positive change for our area, however you’ve voted before, whether or not you’ve even voted before. This election, vote for a positive change for Torfaen.

Being elected to serve our constituency would be the honour of a lifetime, and I will work every day to make life easier and fairer every person, and our community. I will also stand up for what is right in Westminster - to tackle climate change and call for peace.

Only Plaid Cymru is offering hope, ambition and fairness for Torfaen and for Wales. We need an MP who will put Torfaen on the radar in Westminster, and stand up for what is right.

With your support, I’ll do that every day.
